About QuickJob Calc

QuickJob Calc started with a familiar frustration: standing in the paint aisle, phone out, trying to use a calculator site that took 15 seconds to load, hid the answer under three ads, and didn't say what assumptions it used anyway.

So this site is built the other way around: the tool comes first, loads fast on a phone in one hand, and shows its assumptions right next to the result — so you can sanity-check the math against your actual project.

How the numbers are sourced

Coverage rates and material yields come from manufacturer technical data sheets and industry standards: 350 sq ft per gallon for interior paint, 200 sq ft per gallon for primer, 0.6 cu ft yield for an 80-lb concrete bag, 27 cu ft per cubic yard. When the industry gives a range, the calculator uses the conservative end so you don't run short.

Honest limitations

These are planning estimates. Real-world coverage varies with surface texture, application method, material moisture, and how uneven the ground is. For structural concrete, load-bearing work, or anything permitted, consult an engineer — that's not a disclaimer-of- convenience, it's the actual right answer.

How the site makes money

Transparently: display ads and affiliate links to materials (paint, mulch, concrete supplies). Using them never changes a calculation — the math is fixed in code, not influenced by what's on sale.
